Ford Windstar PATS Disable / Reset Service

If your Ford Windstar will not start after a PCM/ECU replacement, the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) is often the cause. How PATS Works

Many Ford PCMs are built with PATS capability. Once a PCM has been “married” to a PATS module, it will always expect the immobilizer handshake before starting. Our PATS reset service clears this lock, restoring normal plug-and-play operation.

Security Light Woes

After PATS delete, the security light may remain illuminated on some Windstar clusters. If this happens, the only solution is to remove the bulb or LED from the dash.

Plug-and-Play Installation

Most customers can install a PATS-cleared PCM with no additional programming. In rare cases, a global DTC clear may be required before the van will start.
