Chrysler Sebring SKIM Key & Immobilizer Delete Service

This is often caused by a faulty SKIM (Sentry Key Immobilizer Module), which prevents the PCM from allowing the engine to run. What This Service Does

Important Notes

• SKIM Module Disconnect — the SKIM module must be unplugged before installing a PCM with security cleared
• Security Light — some Chrysler Sebring models may still show the security light after SKIM delete; this does not affect drivability
• Plug & Play — most SKIM-cleared PCMs are install-ready; in rare cases, a global code clear may be required before the vehicle will start

How SKIM Works

Every Chrysler PCM is SKIM-capable, even if the vehicle was not originally equipped with the system. Once activated, the PCM always searches for a SKIM signal. By clearing the SKIM function, the PCM will operate normally without the immobilizer system. Both security and non-security keys can be used with a SKIM-cleared PCM.
