Important Notes

• SKIM Module Disconnect — the SKIM module must be unplugged before installing a PCM with security cleared

• Plug & Play — most SKIM-cleared PCMs are install-ready; in rare cases, a global code clear may be required before the vehicle starts

How SKIM Works

Every Chrysler PCM is SKIM-capable, even if the vehicle did not originally include it. Once activated, the PCM always searches for a SKIM signal. By clearing the SKIM function, the PCM will operate normally without the immobilizer system. Both security and non-security keys can be used with a SKIM-cleared PCM.
