Ford Kuga PATS Disable / Reset Service
If your Ford Kuga will not start after a PCM/ECU replacement, the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) may be the cause. Our PATS disable and reset service permanently removes the immobilizer requirement from your PCM, allowing your Kuga to start and run without needing programmed keys or a matched PATS module.
What MoPower Can Offer
- Permanently remove PATS security from your Ford Kuga PCM
- VIN rewritten back into the PCM for a seamless factory match
- Eliminates no-start conditions after PCM replacement or swap
- Plug-and-play PCM installation – no dealer key programming required
How PATS Works
Ford PCMs often include PATS capability, even if the vehicle was not originally equipped. Once a PCM has been “married” to a PATS module, it will always expect the immobilizer handshake before starting. Our PATS reset service clears this lock, restoring normal plug-and-play operation.
- Donor PCMs from PATS-equipped vehicles can cause no-start issues
- PATS-cleared PCMs can start with both security and non-security keys
- Compatible with Ford Kuga model years 2008 and newer
Security Light Woes
After PATS delete, the security light may remain illuminated on some Ford Kuga dashboards. If this occurs, the only solution is to remove the bulb or LED from the cluster.
Plug-and-Play Installation
Most customers can install a PATS-cleared PCM with no additional programming. In rare cases, a global DTC clear may be required before the Kuga will start.
