Ford Expedition PATS Disable / Reset Service

How PATS Works

Ford PCMs often include built-in PATS security, even if the vehicle was not originally equipped. Once a PCM has been “married” to a PATS module, it will always expect the immobilizer handshake before starting. Our PATS reset service clears this lock, restoring normal plug-and-play operation.

Security Light Woes

After PATS delete, the security light may stay illuminated on some Ford Expedition dashboards. If this occurs, the only solution is to remove the bulb or LED from the cluster.

Most customers can install a PATS-cleared PCM with no additional programming. In rare cases, a global DTC clear may be required before the Expedition will start.
