If your Ford E-Series van will not start after a PCM/ECU replacement, the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) may be the cause.
Our PATS disable and reset service permanently removes the immobilizer requirement from your PCM, allowing the van to start and run without programmed keys.
What MoPower Can Offer
Permanently remove PATS security from your Ford E-Series PCM
VIN rewritten back into the PCM for a factory match
Eliminates no-start issues after PCM swap or replacement
Plug-and-play PCM install with no extra key programming required
How PATS Works
Many Ford PCMs are capable of PATS security, even if the vehicle was not originally equipped.
Once a PCM has been “married” to a PATS module, it will always expect the immobilizer handshake before starting.
Our PATS reset service clears this requirement so the PCM functions normally.
Donor PCMs from PATS-equipped vehicles can cause no-start conditions
PATS-cleared PCMs can be started with both security and non-security keys
Works with most Ford E-Series vans (E-150, E-250, E-350, E-450)
Security Light Woes
After PATS delete, the security light may remain illuminated in some E-Series vans.
If this occurs, the only solution is to remove the security light bulb or LED from the dash cluster.
Plug-and-Play Installation
In most cases, the PATS-cleared PCM is completely plug-and-play.
In rare instances, a global DTC clear may be required before the van will start.
