Ford Flex PATS Disable / Reset Service

If your Ford Flex will not start after a PCM/ECU replacement, the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) may be the issue. How PATS Works

Ford PCMs are often built with PATS capability, even if the vehicle was not originally equipped. Once a PCM has been “married” to a PATS module, it will always expect the immobilizer handshake before starting. Our PATS reset service clears this lock, restoring normal plug-and-play function.

Security Light Woes

After PATS delete, the security light may remain illuminated on some Ford Flex dashboards. If this happens, the only solution is to remove the bulb or LED from the cluster.

Plug-and-Play Installation

Most customers can install a PATS-cleared PCM with no additional programming. In rare cases, a global DTC clear may be required before the Flex will start.
