Chrysler Cirrus SKIM Key & Immobilizer Delete Service

What This Service Does

Important Notes

• SKIM Module Disconnect — the SKIM module must be unplugged before installing a PCM with security cleared
• Security Light — in some cases, the security light may remain illuminated on the dash; this does not affect drivability
• Plug & Play — most SKIM-cleared PCMs are ready to install; in rare cases, a global code clear is required before the vehicle will start

How SKIM Works

Every Chrysler PCM is SKIM-capable, even if the vehicle was not originally equipped with it. Once activated, the PCM always searches for a SKIM signal. By clearing the SKIM function, the PCM will operate normally without the immobilizer system. Both security and non-security keys can be used with a SKIM-cleared PCM.
