Once received, our technicians perform the required bench unlocking procedure on your original PCM using specialized equipment.

Step 4 – Reinstall & Get Ready to Tune

We return your unlocked PCM with shipping tracking. Reinstall it in your vehicle and use a compatible tuning platform to begin the custom tuning process.

What Happens After Your PCM Is Unlocked?

Once the PCM has been unlocked, supported tuning software can access the required programming functions for custom calibration.

This service does not include a custom tune, tuning device, software license, or tuning credits. These must be obtained separately if required by your tuning platform.

Depending on the vehicle, a throttle or idle relearn may be necessary after reinstalling the PCM. A compatible diagnostic scan tool may be required.
