Chrysler Cirrus SKIM Key & Immobilizer Delete Service

Did you replace the PCM/ECU in your Chrysler Cirrus only to find the engine starts and then immediately stalls? This issue is often caused by a faulty SKIM (Sentry Key Immobilizer Module), which blocks the PCM from allowing the engine to run. Our in-house SKIM Immobilizer Delete Service permanently removes this security programming from your Cirrus PCM.

What This Service Does

  • SKIM Removal — disables the factory immobilizer, eliminating no-start conditions caused by bad security modules
  • VIN Re-Write — your VIN is written back into the PCM after SKIM removal
  • Permanent Fix — allows PCM swaps and prevents repeat immobilizer-related failures

Important Notes

  • SKIM Module Disconnect — the SKIM module must be unplugged before installing a PCM with security cleared
  • Security Light — in some cases, the security light may remain illuminated on the dash; this does not affect drivability
  • Plug & Play — most SKIM-cleared PCMs are ready to install; in rare cases, a global code clear is required before the vehicle will start

How SKIM Works

Every Chrysler PCM is SKIM-capable, even if the vehicle was not originally equipped with it. Once activated, the PCM always searches for a SKIM signal. By clearing the SKIM function, the PCM will operate normally without the immobilizer system. Both security and non-security keys can be used with a SKIM-cleared PCM.
