2011–2017 Chrysler 200 Speed Limiter Removal / Raise Service
The Chrysler 200 was offered in two distinct generations from 2011 through 2017, but both use electronically controlled powertrain management that can include a factory-programmed maximum vehicle speed within the PCM/ECU calibration.
MoPower Calibrations offers professional Chrysler 200 Speed Limiter Removal and Speed Limiter Raise programming for 2011–2017 Chrysler 200 models equipped with the 2.4L four-cylinder or 3.6L Pentastar V6.
This is a mail-in PCM/ECU programming service. Instead of installing an add-on module or bypass device, MoPower modifies the appropriate vehicle-speed limiting parameters directly within your Chrysler 200's factory calibration.

Chrysler 200 Speed Limiter Removal
The factory PCM can contain a programmed maximum vehicle-speed threshold. Once the vehicle reaches that calibrated threshold, the powertrain controller can intervene to prevent additional acceleration even when the engine may have additional power available.
Our Chrysler 200 Speed Limiter Removal Service modifies the appropriate factory calibration setting so the original programmed maximum-speed restriction no longer imposes the factory limit.
Removing an electronic limiter does not guarantee that a vehicle will reach any particular top speed. Actual vehicle speed is still limited by available engine power, gearing, aerodynamics, tire capability, drivetrain configuration and vehicle condition.
Raise the Chrysler 200 Speed Limiter
Complete removal is not required. Customers can also have MoPower raise the factory Chrysler 200 speed limiter to a requested value.
This option retains a programmed maximum-speed threshold while moving it above the original factory setting. Enter your requested maximum speed when placing the order.
2011–2014 Chrysler 200
The first-generation Chrysler 200 was available with both the 2.4L four-cylinder and the more powerful 3.6L Pentastar V6. These model years included sedan applications as well as the Chrysler 200 Convertible.
Rather than treating these vehicles as a generic late-model Chrysler application, MoPower works with the vehicle's actual PCM calibration and adjusts the applicable vehicle-speed limiting strategy for the specific controller and software being serviced.
2015–2017 Chrysler 200
The second-generation Chrysler 200 introduced an entirely different vehicle platform while continuing to offer 2.4L and 3.6L powertrains. The 3.6L Pentastar-equipped cars in particular offered substantially more performance than the base four-cylinder models, with both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations available depending on model and trim.
MoPower's service covers the 2015, 2016 and 2017 Chrysler 200 as part of the same product while programming the correct calibration for the customer's actual year, engine and PCM.
Why Change the Factory Speed Limiter?

- Your original vehicle-specific PCM calibration is retained and modified
This Is a Speed Limiter Service — Not a Generic Performance Tune
This product is specifically for customers who want the factory Chrysler 200 top-speed limiter raised or removed.
Speed limiter programming by itself does not add horsepower. It removes or changes the programmed vehicle-speed threshold that can prevent the vehicle from accelerating beyond the factory limit.
Changes to ignition timing, fueling, throttle response, torque management, cooling fan settings, transmission calibration, rev limiters or other performance parameters are not automatically included with this service.
If you need additional calibration changes, MoPower offers other Chrysler 200 tuning and PCM programming services that can be performed separately or discussed before your PCM is programmed.
Speed Limiter vs. RPM / Rev Limiter
The vehicle speed limiter and the engine RPM limiter are different calibration functions.
This service changes the maximum vehicle-speed strategy. It does not automatically raise or remove the engine's RPM limit. If you require RPM limiter changes for a specific performance application, contact MoPower before ordering.
How the Mail-In Service Works
- Select your Chrysler 200 model year.
- Select your engine size.
- Choose Speed Limiter Removal or Speed Limiter Raise.
- If choosing Raise, enter your requested maximum speed.
- Enter your vehicle VIN.
- Complete your order and remove the PCM/ECU from the vehicle.
- Ship the PCM to MoPower Calibrations for programming.
- MoPower reads and modifies the appropriate vehicle-specific calibration.
- Your programmed PCM is returned for installation back into your Chrysler 200.
What to Include With Your PCM
Please include your full name, order information, return address, phone/email, VIN, model year, engine size and requested limiter setting with the PCM.
If the PCM is not original to the vehicle or has previously been modified, please include that information as well.
Important Tire Speed Rating & Vehicle Safety Notice
Raising or removing an electronic vehicle-speed limiter does not increase the safe mechanical operating speed of the vehicle.
The original speed limiter may have been selected by the manufacturer based on factors including tire specifications, drivetrain configuration, vehicle equipment and the intended operating envelope of the original vehicle.
The vehicle owner is responsible for verifying that the tires, wheels, brakes, suspension, steering, drivetrain and all other vehicle components are properly rated, maintained and suitable for the speeds at which the vehicle will be operated.
Never exceed the rated speed of the tires installed on the vehicle.
Does Speed Limiter Removal Guarantee a Higher Top Speed?
No. Removing the programmed limiter removes one electronic restriction. It does not create additional engine power or change the physical limitations of the vehicle.
Actual top speed depends on numerous factors including horsepower, gearing, aerodynamic drag, transmission operation, tire diameter, vehicle weight and environmental conditions.
Professional Chrysler PCM Programming
MoPower Calibrations specializes in Chrysler PCM and ECU programming. Our Chrysler 200 services already include PCM unlocking, VIN programming, immobilizer programming and performance calibration work, allowing your speed-limiter service to be handled by a company experienced with the Chrysler controller families used throughout both generations of the 200.
Important Use Disclaimer
This calibration service is intended for properly prepared vehicles used in closed-course competition, off-road, export or other lawful applications where modification of the factory vehicle-speed limiter is permitted.

The MoPower Difference
Your Chrysler 200 does not need a generic bypass box or temporary workaround to change its factory speed limiter.
MoPower Calibrations professionally modifies the appropriate parameters inside your vehicle's PCM calibration, allowing you to raise or remove the factory Chrysler 200 speed limiter while leaving unrelated calibration areas unchanged unless additional services are requested.
From the original 2011 Chrysler 200 through the final 2017 model year, MoPower provides professional PCM programming for both 2.4L and 3.6L applications.
Send us your Chrysler 200 PCM and let MoPower handle the programming.
