Chrysler 200 / 300 SKIM Key & WIN Immobilizer Delete Service

This issue is often caused by a faulty SKIM (Sentry Key Immobilizer Module) or WIN (Wireless Ignition Node), which blocks the PCM from allowing the engine to run. What This Service Does

• SKIM / WIN Removal — disables the factory immobilizer, eliminating no-start conditions caused by bad security modules
• VIN Re-Write — your VIN is written back into the PCM after immobilizer removal

Important Notes

• SKIM Module Disconnect — the SKIM/WIN module must be unplugged before installing a PCM with security cleared (2007+ WIN systems may require different handling)
• Security Light — some vehicles, especially Chrysler 300 models, may still display the security light; this does not affect drivability
• Plug & Play — most SKIM-cleared PCMs are install-ready; in some cases, a global code clear is required before the vehicle will start

How SKIM/Immobilizer Works

Every Chrysler PCM is SKIM-capable, even if the vehicle was not originally equipped. Once activated, the PCM always searches for a SKIM/WIN signal. By clearing the SKIM function, the PCM will operate normally without the immobilizer system. Both security and non-security keys can be used with a SKIM-cleared PCM.
