How PATS Works

Ford PCMs often include PATS capability, even if the vehicle was not originally equipped. Once a PCM has been “married” to a PATS system, it will always expect the immobilizer handshake before starting. Our PATS reset service clears this lock, restoring normal plug-and-play function.

Security Light Woes

After PATS delete, the security light may remain illuminated on some Ford Fusion dashboards. If this occurs, the only solution is to remove the bulb or LED from the cluster.

Most customers can install a PATS-cleared PCM with no additional programming. In rare cases, a global DTC clear may be required before the Fusion will start.
